Hey there
I'm Nick!

I’m a middle school math teacher, lifelong learner, and believer that curiosity is one of our greatest superpowers. By day, I help students explore math through hands-on projects, engaging discussions, and moments of “Wait… that actually makes sense!” But my work goes beyond equations—I’m passionate about creating a classroom where kids feel seen, safe, and excited to grow.

Outside the classroom, you’ll find me experimenting with lesson design, sketching ideas for my next classroom game or escape room, or out on the golf course working on my game.

I believe teaching is both a craft and a calling—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

About Me

  • I'm a proud middle school teacher who loves helping students find joy in math

  • I'm always tinkering and trying to evolve my projects, lesson design, and classroom games

  • When I'm outside of my classroom, I’m probably golfing, barbequing, or spending time with my wife, son, and dog.

What I Believe

  • Math is a thinking tool—not just a subject.

    • I want students to see math as a way to make sense of the world, not just a set of rules to memorize.

  • Relationships come first.

    • Learning happens best when students feel a sense of belonging and trust—both with me and with each other.

  • Creativity has a place in every lesson.

    • I love designing rich math tasks, student choice projects, and classroom experiences that spark curiosity and joy.
